Bringing one of Australia’s major cultural festivals to life.

In April 2026, I joined the 73rd Sydney Film Festival as Producer. Executing live events, conversations and audience experiences surrounding Australia’s most significant celebration of cinema.

Across the festival, I lead The Hub, talks programme, VIP events, sponsor activations and major festival occasions. Each brought together a different combination of filmmakers, industry guests, partners, audiences and creative teams across a fast moving city wide programme. At the centre of my work was The Hub: a home for talks, live performances, hospitality, partner activity and audience engagement throughout the festival. I produced daily operations, working across programming, technical, staffing, security, ticketing, publicity and venue management. I also supported the delivery of key moments in the festival calendar, including the Program Launch, Opening Night Gala and After-Party, Closing Night Gala, Awards and After-Party, SFFTV and other live performances and special events. These events extended the festival beyond the cinema screen, creating spaces where audiences, filmmakers, partners and the wider industry could meet, celebrate and engage with the programme.

Across the wider festival, I worked closely with venues, security, ticketing, publicity, partnerships, philanthropy, industry guests and production teams to keep information moving and ensure each event was prepared for live delivery.

I also managed budgets, purchase orders and reconciliations across events and activations, balancing creative ambition with the practical demands of a major cultural festival.

The role required precision, adaptability and calm decision-making across overlapping events, multiple stakeholders and constantly changing live environments - helping ensure that the experiences surrounding the films felt as considered and professionally delivered as the screenings themselves.
